 This installment of the Three River Ranch Series, His Reluctant Rancher, is a good stand alone novel that follows the lives of the characters in the Three River Ranch book as well as the characters Desiree Burke, a physical therapist and Zachary Gamble, owner of Twinridge Ranch.  This book was light on the romance and heavy on filler in; it focused on the physical rehab, family, and ranching aspects more than the romance. This was a cute book with down to earth characters. One good thing about this particular book is that it is a good stand alone and I could follow the sub plot well and didn’t feel the need to read the previous book.  For this I will give His Reluctant Rancher a 3 star review.

Synopsis

The last place city girl Desiree Burke expected to find herself was living at and working on a ranch, much less butting heads with the ranch’s sexy cowboy owner, Zach Gamble. But that’s exactly where she ends up after an incident at work leads her to her best friend Rory’s doorstep. Desiree is a gifted physical therapist, and Rory knows exactly where her brand of tough love is needed the most.
